Early and Professional Career:

As per her mother she was inspired by many of Bollywood stars and very much conscious for acting. Therefore it is the reason she joined acting training classes. The early career of Huma was started working with Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and also has been assisting documentary film maker. In 2008 she came to know that the auditions for Junction film are going to be held in Mumbai so with the consultation of her mother she travelled to Mumbai with her friend.  She auditioned and selected but very unfortunately the film was never completed due to some critical problems, however she took full benefit to come in Mumbai as she signed a 02 year contract with Hindustan Unilever. According to the contract she had to work in Television commercials. She worked in many TV commercials for the promotion of products such as Samsung Mobile Phone, Saffola Oil, and Mederma Cream etc.  When she was working for the promotion of Samsung mobile phone inspired Anurag Kashyap (Director) with her outstanding acting. Anurah then promised with Huma to give a chance in upcoming film or any serial and later on worked in Gangs of Wasseypur.

She started her filmy career in 2012 when she was selected for the film of Billa in which there were about 700 candidate auditioned but film was delayed and Huma left it. Despite of disappointed start in the world of film she never gave up and has been working hard. Finally the short version film “Sujata” released which has been successful and more importantly she acting performance exceptional. Due to excellent performance in her first film she has started to receive many offers for the films and she worked as well, D Day, Ek Thi Daayan, Shorts, Gangs of Wassepur are famous movies of Huma Qureshi. She won four times different kinds of national awards.
